Step 1: Download Mani Mod from here.
Step 2: Open up the .zip file with a program such as Winzip.
Step 3:
Extract the contents of the .zip file to an empty folder on your computer. It will create an "addons", "cfg", "materials", and "sound" folder inside of it.
Step 4:
On your computer, go into the new "addons" folder that has been created. Double click the CreateVDF file. It will bring up a window which will allow you to choose your game type and then save the VDF file. Please choose your game type (cstrike is the game type for CSS), and then click on "Save VDF". Keep the default file name, and click "Save" again, and a file called mani_admin_plugin.vdf will be created in your "addons" folder.
Step 5:
Copy the "addons", "cfg", "materials", and "sound" folders via FTP to your server's "cstrike" folder, as shown below:

Step 6:
Go to the location needed to edit the command line of your server. Once in there, add +exec mani_server.cfg to the end of the command line, as shown below:
An alternative method is to add "exec mani_server.cfg" at the bottom of your server's main configuration file, which should be called server.cfg. If you choose this method, you'll need to copy the server.cfg file from your server's "cfg" folder (using FTP) to your computer, then add "exec mani_server.cfg" to the bottom of the file. Once that's done, save the file, and then FTP it back to your "cfg" folder.
Step 7:
Start up your server. Mani Mod should now be properly installed on your server.

Step 2:
Go to the location needed to edit the command line of your server. Once there, delete the +exec mani_server.cfg. Alternatively, if you had "exec mani_server.cfg" in your server.cfg file (and not on your Command Line), then you will need to FTP server.cfg over to your computer, remove "exec mani_server.cfg", and FTP the file back.
Step 3:
Go into your server's "cstrike" folder via FTP. If Mani Mod is the only mod that you have installed on your server, then you can go ahead and delete the entire "addons" folder. If you have other files in the "addons" folder, then please delete the following files: mani_admin_plugin (folder), CreateVDF, mani_admin_plugin.dll, mani_admin_plugin_i486.so, and mani_admin_plugin.vdf. If you have any other files there that belong to Mani Mod, delete them as well.
Step 4:
Go into your server's "cfg" folder via FTP. Delete the mani_admin_plugin folder, and the mani_server.cfg file.
Step 5: Go into your server's "materials", "decals", and then "customs" folder. Delete the mani_admin_plugin folder.
Step 6: Go into your server's "sound" folder. Delete the admin_plugin folder.
Step 7: Start your server back up and Mani Mod will be completely removed from your server.
Step 1:
Go into your server and login to rcon using the command "rcon_password rconpasswordhere", without the quotes, and with "rconpasswordhere" being what your server's actual rcon password is. You can find out what your rcon password is by going into your server's main configuration file, which should be called server.cfg.
Step 2:
We're going to first add you as an admin, and then we'll tackle adding permissions. In the console, type "rcon ma_client AddClient <name>", without the quotes or brackets. Instead of the word "name", put what you want to call yourself. You will be using the name you add quite often, so please try to keep it as simple as possible. Infact, if you type "rcon ma_client" in the console, you will see a bunch of commands that have <ID> in them. The ID it refers to is the name that you have just created. So as you can see, you'll be using your ID often in commands.

Step 3:
Once you've added yourself as an admin, the next step will be to attach either your STEAM ID or your IP address to your name so that the server can authenticate you as an admin. You only need to add one or the other -- either your STEAM ID or IP address. You don't need to add both. To find out what your STEAM ID is, go into a CSS server and type "status" in the console. Your STEAM ID will look similar to this: STEAM_0:1:12345678. To find out what your IP address is, go to www.myipaddress.com.
To add attach your STEAM ID, go into your server's console and type: rcon ma_client AddSteam <ID> "Steam ID". Remove the brackets around the ID and enter the name you added earlier. The quotes around Steam ID must be there. Here is an example:

Step 4:
You should now be setup as an admin, however you won't have any admin functionality until you assign permissions to yourself. Please follow our Admin Permissions guide below for information on how to give yourself proper permissions.
Step 1: Please join your server, and then login as rcon.
Step 2: In the console, type "rcon ma_client aflag" without the quotes to show the available admin flags (permissions), and what each one does.

Step 3: Choose the permissions that you wish to add to yourself or a friend, and then add them via using the "rcon ma_client SetAFlag <ID> "+flag +flag +flag etc."
Example:
rcon ma_client SetAFlag Bob "+A +B +C +D +E +F +G +H +I +J +K +L +M +N +O +P +Q +R +S +T +U +V +W +X +Y +Z +a +admin +b +c +client +d +e +f +g +grav +i +k +l +m +o +p +pban +q +q2 +q3 +r +s +spray +t +v +w +x +y +z"

Because there are upper case and lower case letters of the same value, you must keep the letter's case in mind when adding flags. For example, don't put +a when you're trying to add the +A flag.
Step 4: Go into the console and type "bind q admin" without the quotes. You can change the letter q to whichever letter you'd like to use to access the admin menu. After that is done, pressing q (or whichever button you set to admin) should open up an admin menu. If it tells you that you don't have proper permissions, then that means either you didn't add the right permission flags earlier, or you didn't type it in right.

Step 5: Now we're going to do the same thing with immunities. In the console, type "rcon ma_client iflag" without the quotes to show the available immunity flags (permissions), and what each one does.

Step 6: Choose the permissions that you wish to add to yourself or a friend, and then add them via using the "rcon ma_client SetIFlag <ID> "+flag +flag +flag etc."
Example:
rcon ma_client SetIFlag Bob "+a +afk +autojoin +b +c +d +e +f +g +grav +h +i +k +l +m +n +o +p +ping +q +r +s +t +u +v +w +x +y"

That's it! You should now be fully setup as a Mani Mod admin of your server and you should be able to access the Mani admin menu by using the key that you bound earlier.
Step 1:
Please join your server, and then login as rcon.
Step 2:
In the console, type "rcon ma_client status <ID>" without the quotes or brackets, and with "ID" being the ID that you set for yourself when you initially created yourself as an admin. Doing this will list your permissions, so you know which ones to remove.
Example:
rcon ma_client status bob
Step 3: We're going to remove permissions similar to how we added them. In the console, type "rcon ma_client SetAFlag <ID> "-flag -flag -flag etc." Basically you want to do that to every flag that you want removed.
Example:
rcon ma_client SetAFlag
bob "-A -B -C -D -E -F -G -H -I -J -K -L -M -N -O -P -Q -R -S -T -U -V -W -X -Y -Z -a -admin -b -c -client -d -e -f -g -grav -i -k -l -m -o -p -pban -q -q2 -q3 -r -s -spray -t -v -w -x -y -z"

Step 4: The same thing would be done if you wanted to remove immunities.
In the console, type "rcon ma_client SetIFlag <ID> "-flag -flag -flag etc." Basically you want to do that to every flag that you want removed.
Example:
rcon ma_client SetIFlag Bob "-a -afk -autojoin -b -c -d -e -f -g -grav -h -i -k -l -m -n -o -p -ping -q -r -s -t -u -v -w -x -y"

That's all there is to it -- the permissions that you tried to remove should now be gone.
